Social Features
Friend connections and social interactions in Logbook.

- Like friend's reviews
- Comment on friend's reviews
- Share book recommendations (native IOS sharing)
- See friends who read a book
- Friend search (by name, username, email)
Post-Beta
- Friend requests (for private accounts)
- Block/mute users
- Share reading progress
- Tag friends in reviews
- Reading challenges with friends
- Gift book recommendations
- Reading buddy pairing
User Stories
- As a social reader, I want to see what my friends are reading so I can discover new books
- As a user, I want to follow friends so I get their updates in my feed
- As a user, I want to see which friends read a book so I can ask them about it
- As a user, I want to like and comment on reviews to engage with friends
- As a user, I want to share book recommendations directly with specific friends
Activity Feed
The friend activity feed shows:
- Friend started reading a book
- Friend finished a book
- Friend rated a book
- Friend reviewed a book
- Friend added book to TBR
Activities are grouped intelligently (e.g., "3 friends finished this book") and sorted chronologically.
Privacy Model
- Profiles are public by default
- Users can make profiles private (post-beta)
- Private profiles require follow approval
- Users control what activities are shared
